Best opticians in town, hands-down! My frame brake yesterday evening. I tried several (almost all of them) opticians in the dublin city center this morning but none of them was able to help. When I entered Mac Nally opticians I was almost giving it up, but the optician took my problem seriously and put a real effort in trying to solve it. In 20 minutes was able to put my lens on a different frame. He was very professional and available, so I must suggest this to everybody, they were great (and saved me from not working for the next 10 days!)

Booked in for an eye test and new glasses today. The service I received was second to none. From the eye test to selecting frames was very professional and staff were extremely helpful. What happens during an eye exam?
An eye exam is totally painless, and our team will support you throughout the process. It includes a discussion of your eye history, symptoms, and general health, followed by a series of pre-tests and the main eye test. At the end, the optometrist will summarise your results, discuss your eye health, recommend lens options that suit your lifestyle, and address any necessary treatments or referrals to specialists.
How long does an eye test take?
An eye test lasts roughly 30 minutes, which may vary depending on individual circumstances.
How much does an eye test cost?
The charge is normally €60 and also applies to drivers’ reports. We carry out OCT (optical coherence tomography scanning of the back of the eye) as standard in all of our eye exams.
Can I enjoy PRSI Optical Benefit here?
Bring your PRSI number and DOB with you and we can check your entitlements. It’s a quick and easy online eligibility checker we can do in-store.
